Outside Lands: Ranger Dave
KORINS
Since the third annual Outside Lands Music and Arts Festival in 2010, Ranger Dave has been the event’s mascot. In 2014, KORINS was tasked with designing a massive sculpture in the round of Ranger Dave to serve as both a central icon of Outside Lands as well as an unmatched photo-op. The following year the design’s footprint was expanded to accomodate a queue and signage celebrating the aesthetic of US National Parks was designed.
Estructure, an engineering firm in Oakland, CA use these four render views in order to design and construct a roughly 20’ modular sculpture that could be easily assembled and disassembled for the festival every year.
